Speaking with your feet
All of us often hear how a particular outcome or decision is 'unfair'. One group or another is being slighted by a choice made by a corporation/official/school, etc. In today's legal environment, it is difficult to practically express even the most ordinary choices officially. But there is nothing that prevents us from walking away from what we don't like or don't approve.
Labor unions were once a very important part of achieving safer working conditions and a better life for employees (as opposed to owners). Now they increase labor costs well beyond non-unionized organizations, reducing competition. Unions have a well established association with organized crime, especially the Teamsters (see FBI data).
It is politically incorrect to criticize unions- it must mean you are against the 'working man'. But businesses speak with their feet. Most business expansion in the last 20 years has been in non-union right-to-work states. When the auto industry was 'collapsing' what was really meant was that Detroit's industry was collapsing. Auto plants in the non-union south were doing very well.
No one can regulate what a person thinks, and those thoughts get turned into action, one way or another.
